The STEM Cell Family is a Christian faith-based organization, and our programs reflect that foundation. In STEAM Room, we connect STEAM concepts to real-life applications—for example, using lessons on potential and kinetic energy to show how our gifts come alive through action. While we never force faith on anyone, we strive to share Christ’s love by creating spaces where families can learn, grow, and build together—in faith and in fun.

Fun With Purpose
We want everyone at STEAM Room to have fun, and that fun starts with family. Our community focused events are designed for families to have fun together, either as a team or in competition. We aim to reclaim family fun and give the screens a rest, to provide an oasis of focused engagement in a desert of hyper stimulation and signal overload. Are you ready to embrace playtime with your child again? When will you make the time to make a difference for your family?
Our children are the future leaders and workers. It is our responsibility to prepare them with skills and tools necessary to not just survive but thrive in the workforce and beyond. We utilize task based learning and the Engineering design process to help teach crucial soft skills such as cooperation, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity in order to help prepare children for the competitive working market and help foster important life skills. Core memories help us to remember our strengths and the fun times we too often overlook. We seek to connect families and communities through special parties, functions, and events. Families and individuals are all invited to interact with our challenges and with each other as we have fun while growing together. Q) Is it STEAM Room or STEM Cell Family?
A) We are STEAM Room. When we started, we wanted to clearly communicate that we believe family connection is crucial to the success of our future leaders and workers. STEM Cell was a clever play on words but we changed it for clarity.
Q) Where are you located?
A) STEAM Room is designed to be mobile in nature, meaning that we have no central place for people to come and go. This could change in the future as the fun and faith grows throughout the area so that we could potentially offer a physical location in addition to the mobile setups.
Q) The phrase “in faith and fun” sounds suspicious. What faith? Am I going to get preached to because my kid wants to play?
A) STEAM Room is designed to combine STEM concepts with Biblical principles and opportunities for life application. We do not shy away from faith in God and the love of Jesus but we also do not shove the Bible in people’s faces.
Q) Does this have anything to do with biological stem cells or reproductive choices?
A) No. STEAM Room and the STEM Cell family are based upon educational STEM concepts of science, technology, engineering, (art in STEAM Room), and Math. While biological stem cell research also has roots in STEM, the STEM Cell family, and by extension STEAM Room, does not place an emphasis on that.
